    Mechanism of Action

    Cardiogen is a short synthetic peptide bioregulator (tetrapeptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg) developed within the Khavinson family of peptide bioregulators. It is studied for tissue-specific gene expression in cardiac myocytes, where it is proposed to modulate transcription factors involved in cardiomyocyte differentiation, mitochondrial function, and connective-tissue remodeling of the heart.
